Premium, beeswaxed twill, rolltop backpack. Add your legacy and pass it on.

Since 2015, the MAD-13 Canvas Backpack has been a top choice for eco-conscious adventurers who appreciate a durable, eco-friendly design. Designed in Australia, this canvas rucksack is crafted from natural 16oz cotton twill and beeswax, delivering outstanding water resistance without relying on harmful synthetic materials like polyurethane (PU) or PVC. Over time, the backpack develops a distinctive patina, telling the story of your travels. Reapply our special Fabric Wax to maintain the water-repellency and durability for a lifetime.

Designed for the outdoors, this roll-top waxed canvas bag keeps your belongings safe from rain and dust, with a single leather strap and brass clasp securing the top. The YKK Woven-in Tough zipper, designed for luggage, adds extra durability, and eco-tanned leather accents and scuff pads provide additional protection.

On the sides, three rows of PAL Molle allow for easy attachment of additional gear like pouches or water bottles. Two vertical zipper pockets are perfect for quick access to your phone or keys. The rolled leather handle and padded, adjustable straps offer comfort even during long treks.

Inside, the canvas backpack features a padded laptop pocket and compartments for smaller items like pens and glasses. With lash pads on the bottom for securing a bedroll or jacket, this canvas rucksack is as functional as it is stylish, offering both practicality and longevity.

Old-school Patina.

Genuine solid brass hardware is rarely used because it's expensive. We say- hang the expense! Real brass is heavier than the fake alternatives and develops an authentic patina.

Genuine Leather.
Eco Clean.

Otherwise known as Vegetable Tanned Leather. It's genuine cow leather that is processed using traditional methods. It's more expensive and requires more time but it lasts up to 4 times longer.

The advantage is that this method of proofing the fabric also allows it to breathe, unlike the plastic treatment options found in waterproof fabrics. Want to know more? Read this article.
